    What do you need to know to work with PowerPoint design slides?

First of all, you should know how to add a new slide. To do this you must choose “New Slide” in menu item “File”. There will be a drop-down list. This list shows different forms of slide design. Clicking on the necessary form, we will see that a new slide is added in the project. After that, it is advisable to set desired background slides.     Now you can paste text information in the slide. In order to have readable text information it is recommended to use a large font and paste less information on each slide. After that, you should add some graphic elements such as: images, photos, drawings etc. To do this, it is best to use the menu item “Insert”.

    If it is desirable, the slide animation can be added after filling text and graphic information. To do this, go to the menu item “Animation”. After that, on the left there will be a new unit called “Animation settings”. Now select an object on the slide you want to animate. Then press “Add Effect” from the block “Animation settings” and select the necessary option from the dropdown list. Then you can edit various settings for created the animation: start, direction, speed, etc.
    Now your free PowerPoint slides are filled in, have background and animation!
It is worth mentioning a couple of secrets that will simplify your work.

1) Turn on the guides. To do this, right- click on the slide (to open the context menu) and select the grid and guides. In a new window you should set a step for the grid and other parameters and click “OK”. It can also be performed using a combination of Alt + F9. With the help of the guide you can outline a modular grid, or simply set the reference point to arrange something properly. Objects “stick” to the guides. There are one vertical and one horizontal guide by default – to copy the guide, you must hold down Ctrl and drag it to the needed location.

2) Use the hot keys when working with the mouse:
- if you move an object with the mouse, holding down Ctrl, then the original object will remain in its place, it will be copied and the copy can be immediately paste into necessary place. If you resize the object, holding down Ctrl, then the size will change symmetrically – the center of the object will remain in place.
- If you move an object with the mouse, holding down Shift, then the object will only move vertically or horizontally. If you resize the object, holding Shift, then proportions will be saved.
